State Sports Academy (SSA)

State Sports Academy, Miao, stands as the only Government-aided multi-discipline sports academy in the region, proudly hosting over 120 residential trainees. These young athletes benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure and a balanced educational environment, ensuring they receive top-notch training alongside their Academic pursuits. Managed by LSM under the Directorate of Sports, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the Academy has been operational since 2019. It is supported by professional coaches and experts dedicated to implementing scientific training methodologies. The primary goal of the Academy is to cultivate a pool of talent that can contribute to State and National teams while also preparing prospects for the Olympics. The Miao Sports Academy is a purpose-driven initiative designed to empower passionate and talented youth. It emphasizes a coordinated approach where expert coaches collaborate to develop tailored training plans and curricula. The Academy is committed to providing scientific training and sports analytics, alongside seminars focused on injury prevention, sports nutrition, and sports psychology. Additionally, the Academy offers personality development classes, ensuring that trainees not only excel in sports but also grow as well-rounded individuals.
